Welcome to our new staff members for the summer

We are pleased to announce that we have recently welcomed three new summer students to our team. Over the next three months, our new team members will bring valuable skills and input that will enrich the content to be posted on our public legal education and information (PLEI) website, LegalAve.ca.

Our Content and Legal Research Assistants, Landy Zhao and Linda Lim, aid the Staff Lawyer and Information Specialist with researching topics relevant to family law as well as developing and reviewing legal content created for the website.

Landy recently completed her second year of law school at the University of Alberta. Prior to law school, she obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration with honours from Simon Fraser University. In her spare time, Landy volunteers for the Edmonton Community Legal Centre.

Linda just completed her second year of law school at the University of Ottawa. Over the years, she has developed a passion for access to justice and public legal education. She was able to nurture this passion as a volunteer with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre and the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic.

Our Web Content Assistant, Nicole Tighe, works closely with the IT Specialist as well as the Program/Web Content Coordinator to manage web content, and maintain a consistent look and feel throughout our websites. Nicole recently completed her second year of Computing Science at the University of Alberta, and is looking forward to expanding her knowledge of public legal education.

The extra support from our new team members will improve the quality of LegalAve through their novel perspectives. We look forward to working with Landy, Linda, and Nicole while helping  them build skills relevant to their fields of study.

Stay in touch with us on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn to get the latest updates about ALIS and our PLEI website.
